Yeah! Now we are getting somewhere.
The series starring Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld in the pivotal roles of Clint Barton and Kate Bishop (and I am going to be honest, I can’t imagine any other Kate Bishop [also her singing!]).
The series starts in 2012, establishing our Kate’s origin story. And trust me, the work that has been done in establishing it doesn’t feel rushed, nor it feels less. Simple बात, it feels whole.
First two episodes are now streaming on Disney+Hotstar (if you interested in the paying one😏 otherwise there are other methods too...).
Okay but on a serious note, if you can, do watch it officially only. I just finished the first two episodes and stuff, and stuff and stuff…मतलब की you are in for a treat, with the classic humour and comedy of Marvel. Some might find Kate’s idolising as fangirling, but that doesn’t, like not at all, seems the case. It’s just the opposite. Inspiration. Remember that.
So, we see Clint out of action, and a side which he doesn’t tell anyone much about—the feelings about losing his best friend Natasha aka Black Widow, which we get to know about the small convo he has with his wife Laura, as she identifies the method Clint is going to use (see for yourself).
Now Kate (just like Tony, but missing the arrogant billionaire playboy attitude) is Rich, Rich here being the word of focus. But it’s not visible in the attitude, and that’s something which will make you love Kate instantly.
What about Character Arcs? Something which I constantly struggle with to identify, but some things are clear, the friendship between our Hawkeye and Young Hawkeye (Young Avengers are definitely being set up, I am sure of it), the trust between them (obvio) and the responsibility and what it takes and what it feels to be a Hero, which Kate doesn’t know about. And also, that Clint needs to open to people he trusts and sometimes, just have a little faith in the unknown.
तो unnecessarily बात करने की जरूरत नहीं है क्युकी तुम लोगों को मेरा verdict पता है। I have started it and I am going to complete it. And of course, the Trailers didn’t do the show justice, so if you are having second thoughts, just give the first episode a watch and then decide.
